JEEP WRANGLER Automatic to Manual transmission bandy possible

Here is the scenario. I am thinking about doing a manual swap. I have a 1993 jeep wrangler Renegade automated with a I6 4.0L engine. The jeep has 143000 miles(most). The engine sounds great temperature but goes up to between 100 & 210. The problem though is that it feels weak and underpowered when accelerating from a complete stop. You step on the gas pedal and you dont arrive until the manual

I accept washed an automatic to standard bandy in an AMC product simply not a jeep.....You lot take an ideal gear up up presently. 2 next 93s 1 standard ane motorcar. If you havent done the swap withal the AW4 would be your best bet becasue information technology has a stand alone reckoner and can be beefed adequately well. I know guys that have raced them with sucess. You would accept to change the bolt locations for the trans mount and maybe do a Sideslip Yoke Elim kit to continue the driveline running well. Information technology is a totally doable swap in a driveway if need be. You would also have to locate a shifter out of a 91-96 cherokee to be able to use the trans. You lot volition also have to find that year AW4 so that the spline count for the Transfercase is the same. If you are serious nearly doing this bandy there are many good yards in PA for complete packages. We do alot of this stuff where I work and Im kind of the resident jeep nerd Permit me know how you make out or if y'all need any little parts or aid. Take intendance.

With just the machine swap your gonna need the complete motorcar and computer out of the doner gonna need to replace the pilot bearing. A few other things here and in that location.
